View of the Château de Sainte-Marie-de-Lux, built by the Ponthus around 990 and restored in the middle of the 16th century. The text states that Louis XIV stopped there on July 8, 1661, on his way back to sign the Treaty of Saint-Jean-de-Lux. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 19, 1911, addressed to Monsieur Herman in Paris, with a postmark and a post office stamp from Tours.
