View of the feudal castle of Saumur, built as early as the 11th century by Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou, and renovated in the 15th century. Printed text at the top and bottom of the image. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Alcadam Galiard in Montargis, with a 5c postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Bourgoin.
