Two young women in traditional Savoyard costume, one in a floral-patterned dress with a yellow belt, the other in a brown dress with a blue belt and a pink scarf. Printed text at the bottom: '1841. - Savoie. - Maurienne - Costumes des Arves'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to S. Jean de Strasbourg, with partially legible postmark and obliteration.
