Black and white aerial view of the village of Schirmeck i Els, nestled in a valley surrounded by green mountains. The printed text at the top left indicates the name of the location. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated Monday evening 26 June 1918, addressed to Eugène, mentions a departure for Strasbourg and arrival in Conchey, with a postal address to Raimondi. The stamp and postmark are not visible.
