Description

Cavalcade of Senonches in 1907, with a music carriage pulled by horses and a crowd in festive attire. The reverse explains that the carnival tradition in Senonches dates back to the medieval period and that the word 'carnival' comes from the Italian 'carne' (meat), symbolizing the end of the meat period before Lent. The publisher is 'C.E.E.' and the stamp is a regional postmark from the Eure-et-Loir area.
