Description

Postcard showing a sculpted head on the first column to the left of the cathedral in Sens, representing Pierre de Cugnières, a legal scholar who in 1329 attacked the privileges of the clergy during a meeting of prelates, presided over by Philippe de Valois. Reverse: French 20-centime postage stamp, canceled in Maligny (5-15-32), addressed to Madame Bigniant in Tours, with a handwritten inscription 'un baiser à Tours'.
