Postcard showing the Monumental Gate of the Archbishop's Courtyard in Sens, with printed text at the bottom. The reverse has handwritten address to Mr. and Mrs. L. Herard in Sens, a postmark from Sens (5 October 1905), and a blue 25-centime stamp. The handwritten text on the front is partially legible and begins with 'Dear father and sister'.
