Black-and-white portrait of a bishop wearing glasses and a pectoral cross, standing near an altar with an episcopal hat. Printed text at the bottom: 'S. G. Monseigneur CHAPTAL, Bishop of Isionda. Born in Paris on December 25, 1861. Consecrated Bishop of Isionda on May 3, 1922.' The reverse side indicates the publisher: 'L. Boisson, 50, Rue du Temple in Paris.'
