Black and white photograph of the Siracusan Venus statue, a Greek sculpture dating from the 3rd century B.C., displayed in the Siracusa museum. The reverse features a handwritten French letter addressed to a friend, dated May 6, expressing admiration for Palermo and mentioning a trip to Montreal. An Italian postage stamp is affixed, with a cancellation mark from Palermo.
