Bust portrait of a man in military uniform, viewed in profile, wearing a képi with the inscription 'ALOT' and a shoulder strap adorned with the letter 'S' and a crest. The reverse features handwritten correspondence dated 'Saturday Evening' addressed to 'Madame G. de Rive, 44, Rue Surne, Paris', with a 40-cent postage stamp and a postmark of 'VICTOR-DE-PAUL, 28 AOÛT 1930'.
