Sepia-toned view of a lighthouse or coastal castle with powerful waves crashing against the walls, visitors observing from a stone balcony. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 19, 1939, addressed to 'Soulauc', mentioning holidays at 'Le Camp National' and summer plans. The postage stamp is partially visible, with a blue ink postmark.
