Description

View of the Gileppe dam with a monumental statue at the top of a retaining wall, overlooking a lake surrounded by wooded hills. The back has handwritten text dated July 28, 1910, describing the dam as 'gigantic' with a 'height of 17,000 meters' and a 'weight of 545,000,000 kilograms,' addressed to Marius Salomon in Amiens. Belgian 10-centime stamp canceled in Liège on July 22, 1910.
