View of the church in Saint-Aignan, whose 11th-century Romanesque tower dominates a paved street lined with old houses. The back carries a handwritten letter addressed to Lieutenant Robert François in Chammont (Marne), with a 10-centime stamp and a postmark from Tours dated 1915.
