Description

Colorized aerial view of the ruins of the Rheinfels castle overlooking the Rhine at St. Goar, with a village at the base of the cliffs and a boat on the river. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 11.4.19 from Böches addressed to an uncle, mentioning the beauty of the landscape and the anticipation of a letter. Postmark 'H-V-A. de Brey. 33/49' with cancellation 'S. P. 64'.
