Description

Devastated view of the interior of a church in St-Hilaire (near Mourmelon) after the withdrawal of German troops in 1915, with intact pillars but walls riddled with holes and overturned chairs on a ruined floor. The reverse has a handwritten correspondence dated April 16, 1915, addressed to a person in Angibê, with a signature and a mention of the publisher 'R.P. Paris'.
