Description

Black and white view of the entrance to the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, with a steamboat in motion between two docks. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated September 2, 1938, addressed to a recipient in Paris, expressing holiday memories and wishes for happiness. The blue 'République Française' postmark is affixed at the top right.
