Description

Black and white aerial view of the village of St-Jean de Maurienne, nestled in a mountain valley with steep sides. The printed text at the bottom indicates '75 St-Jean de Maurienne General View'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 15th, 1938, addressed to 'Madame de Beaucourt' in Strasbourg, expresses the sadness of not being able to extend a stay in St-Jean.
