View of the King René's Castle in Tarascon, whose construction began on 27 November 1400 during the reign of Louis II, Count of Provence, father of King René. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Hélène Mallaret in Marseille, with a signature and a mention of the date 'Sauts'.
