View of the castle known as the Château du Roi René in Tarascon, on the Rhône side, with an inscription indicating that its construction began on 27 November 1400 under the reign of Louis II, Count of Provence, father of King René. The reverse has a French note on the acceptance of correspondence on the front by foreign countries.
