Description

View of La Porte Jarnègue in Tarascon, a fortified gate built in 1846 by the City Consuls, replacing an older gate adorned with a coat of arms bearing the King's insignia. The visible inscription recalls the date 1449. Reverse: postcard from the historical series C. M. Rep. int., published by photographer M. Thuray in Tarascon, with handwritten text at the top left.
