View of the old telegraph in Avranches, a ruined building with a central tower and stone walls, surrounded by vegetation. The reverse features handwritten correspondence addressed to M. Descorich in Marseille, with an address at the top right and a note 'Correspondance' at the top left. The publisher 'Librairie Lechaplais' is printed at the bottom of the front.
