Description

Lively view of Eastbourne beach with many bathers and boats, bordered by imposing hotel-style buildings. On the back, a postcard dated 1916, stamped with a red Valentine series stamp (1 penny), with a postmark of 'VERN' (Vernon, Lancashire) and a partially faded handwritten address sent to France.
