Description

Black and white view of the ruins of the royal chapel at the Palace of Holyrood in Edinburgh, showing Gothic arches and a large stained-glass window. The reverse indicates that these are the only remains of the abbey built by David I between 1128 and 1141, rebuilt by Abbot Crawford in the 13th century. The publisher is A. Inglis, photographer from Calton Hill, Edinburgh.
