View of the harbor at Kirkwall with a large bay filled with boats, including a sailing ship in the background. Printed text at the bottom: 'The Harbour, Kirkwall. Le Port à Kirkwall.' The reverse has handwritten text dated July 21 and 22, 1899, mentioning the arrival and departure of the ship, as well as the presence of a few boats at low tide. The reverse also indicates that the address should be written on this side and that a halfpenny stamp should be placed in the designated space.
