Black and white aerial view of the village of Thônes nestled in a valley surrounded by steep mountains, with scattered houses at the base of the cliffs. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 28, 1954, addressed to a 'dear Mom,' mentioning a trip to Thônes and a visit to the hospital, with a signature 'Réal-Photo'.
