Description

Historic monument at the entrance to the woods of Thoriigny, erected in 1900 by young girls from the countryside. The statue of the Virgin, visible on the base, is the starting point of an annual pilgrimage every first Sunday in May. The reverse side presents a handwritten letter dated January 16, 1889, addressed to a young woman in Rennes, with a 1889 postmark.
