Description

Interior of the Great Hall of the Sick of the Former Hôtel-Dieu in Tonnerre, founded in 1295 by Marguerite of Burgundy, widow of Charles d'Anjon. The total length of the nave was originally 101 m, reduced in 1764 to 80 m, with a vaulted ceiling height of 17 m 50 above ground level and a width of 18 m 50. The hall features stone walls and exposed wooden vaulting.
