Black-and-white view of the entrance to the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre in Trier, with stone walls partially covered in vegetation. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated January 26, 1919, addressed to Madame Jelle, and mentions the publisher Verlagsgesellschaft K. K. H. Halberstadt as well as the serial number 1619.
