View of the ornate baroque-style gate with a cross at the top, in front of the Hôtel-Dieu in Troyes. Printed text at the bottom: 'TROYES. — The Gate of the Hôtel-Dieu. ND. Phot.' Back: handwritten correspondence dated February 5, 1916, sent to Mr. and Mrs. Lecompte in Chelles, with a postmark and a Troyes post office cancellation.
