Description

Postcard depicting children in period costume performing a theatrical role with toy weapons and defensive gestures. Printed text in red: '4. - A Matter of Honor' and 'Low-cut clothes, eyes to eyes. The weapons will wash away the insult.' On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Mrs. Paignon at Gouat-Braz' and 'Mr. Plergeux to Mr. and Mrs. Vitaine', with a 10-centime French Republic postmark.
