Winter view of a snow-covered village with a church featuring a pointed bell tower, surrounded by houses and snow-capped mountains. Printed text at the bottom: 'The Bell Tower. The Signal of Iséran'. On the reverse, handwritten address to Madame J. Devoucoux in Saint-Jean-de-Thérouanne, 40-centime postage stamp, and a postmark from Val-d'Isère dated April 15, 1939.
