View of Valençay Castle with its characteristic dome and the avenue of orange trees lined with trees pruned into ball shapes in boxes. The back features a handwritten letter dated 1910, addressed to Mr. Normel in Saint-Lot, informing of the recent death of the sender's mother, Marie Charnay, and mentioning the health of his son Charles. The stamp and postmark are visible at the top right.
