Colored view of a lake surrounded by trees with a tower in the background, probably in Valence (Drôme). The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated June 15, 1943, sent from Valence to Madame Wéclon in Lyon, mentioning a safe arrival and the waiting for a train to Romans. A 1.50 franc stamp is affixed, with a cancellation from Valence (Drôme).
