Black and white panoramic view of the Valkenburg ruin, with the remnants of a stone castle on the left and the village below. Printed text at the bottom: 'Valkenburg (L) Ruin with Panorama'. Reverse: handwritten text dated 27 August 1949, sent from Valkenburg to Paris, with two blue 6-centime stamps and a postmark 'VALKENBURG 27.VIII.1949'.
