Sepia-toned view of the wooden dyke of Lake Alfeld in the valley of Masevaux, with wooded mountains in the background. On the reverse, a postcard sent to Malakoff, with a 20-centime French postage stamp and a postmark from Basel (Switzerland) dated 17 May 1921. The publisher is BRAUW & Cie, Mulhouse-Dornach, and the card bears the inscription 'COLLECTION L'ALSACE'.
