View of the Prison Gate in Vannes, with a stone building to the right bearing the inscription 'L'AMAREILLE BRIEN EPICERIE GRAINETERIE Dépôt d'Huitres'. The front shows handwritten inscriptions and advertisements for 'CHOCOLAT MENIER' and 'BÉGOUER'. The reverse is addressed to 'Monsieur Brovotier, Secretary of the City Hall, Meudon' with a 5-centime postal stamp and a postmark from Vannes (Morbihan) dated 20 November 1901.
