Description

Postcard showing the memorial monument to the Heroes of Vauquois, with a flame lit on major anniversaries of the Great War (1914-1918). The printed text relates the recapture of the position in 1915-1916 by French troops under the command of General Valdant. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 27-11-29 in Nancy, addressed to Mrs. Jeanne Scott, with a stamp and a postmark from Meurthe-et-Moselle.
