Black-and-white view of the Grand Canal in Venice, with gondolas and historic buildings with ornate facades. In the distance, the basilica Santa Maria della Salute is visible. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 19 September 1934, sent from Venice to Paris, with two Italian stamps (50 and 25 centesimi) and a postmark 'VENETO VENEZIA'.
