View of Avenue de la Victoire in Verdun, with a commemorative monument at the top of a staircase, old buildings on both sides, and period vehicles. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 25, 1938, sent to parents, mentioning a visit to a restaurant and a walk around the town. Postmark and cancellation stamp from Verdun visible.
