Description

View of the courthouse and St-Paul barracks in Verdun, severely damaged by bombings, with broken windows and sandbags in front of the entrance. The reverse features handwritten correspondence dated July 20, 1918, mentioning the barracks as a wartime lodging place, and a schematic drawing of the rooms. The 'Phototypie Paris' stamp is visible.
