Description

Black and white view of the ruins of Verdun after the bombings, showing collapsed buildings and rubble on Rue Mazel and near the military mess. The reverse has a handwritten letter addressed to Madame X. Grion in Marcoussis, with two stamps (10c green and 15c red) and a postmark from Verdun dated April 22, 1917.
