Description

View of the Porte Chaussée in Verdun, a fortified gate with two round towers and a central passage, overlooking a stone bridge above a river. The reverse features a handwritten inscription 'Bon bonjour de Verdun' and an address to Monsieur Weber Charles in Nouvelle Ferme, Ittenheim (Bas-Rhin), with a 15-centime stamp and a Verdun cancellation dated 13 April 1924.
