Black and white view of the Gothic cloister of the cathedral in Verdun-sur-Meuse, dated 16th century, with tracery arches and plants along the border. The reverse side features handwritten text dated January 12, 1917, sent from the General Hospital of Verdun by Henry Reynin to his parents, mentioning his war and hopes for victory.
