View of the main street of Vermelles in 1914-15, showing buildings severely damaged by fighting. The reverse bears a handwritten correspondence dated June 3, 1915, sent from Vermelles to Carprenthas (Zanclesse), with a stamp and cancellation mark from Pousti (576) dated June 3, 1915.
