Lively view of the market on Place d'Armes in Vernon, with vendors and buyers under parasols and tents, in front of a building bearing the inscription 'ADMINISTRATION & GRANDS MAGASINS DURATEL'. On the reverse, handwritten address to Monsieur Barnot in Saint-Ouen, with a note of correspondence on the front. Green 5-centime stamp 'République Française' cancelled with a circular postmark from Vernon.
