View of the Gallery of Battles in the Palace of Versailles, showing its historical wall frescoes and ornate coffered ceiling. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Guibbert in Saint-Gaond, with a blue 30-centime stamp and a postmark from Saint-Nazaire dated July 28, 1938.
