View of the parterres of Versailles with a large fountain in the center, surrounded by numerous visitors in period costume. The reverse features a handwritten address to M. Venture in Marseille, a handwritten date '9/8 1904', a 5-cent stamp, and the publisher's inscription A. Bourdier, printer-publisher in Versailles.
