View of the facade of the Church of the Madeleine in Vézelay, showing its Romanesque style and parts dating from the 12th century (1096-1104) and the 13th century (1128-1139). The printed text describes the building as a remarkable religious monument, restored by Viollet-le-Duc (1840-1862). The reverse contains handwritten correspondence detailing the history of the convent and the dimensions of the church (height 37 m, width 23 m).
