Engraved illustration of the Rock of the Exiles in Jersey, where Victor Hugo exiled himself after the coup d'état. The back details his exile, his stay in Brussels and then Jersey (1852–1855), and his return to Paris in September 1870. Postal stamp of Literature (1898) and arrival postmark in Paris.
