Description

Postcard showing a gilded metal (bell-metal) chandelier, dated around 1110, on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The printed text indicates its English origin and height of 22½ inches. On the back, a historical description states that it was presented by Abbot Peter of Gloucester (1104–1113) to Gloucester Cathedral, then transferred to Le Mans Cathedral, France.
